Calendar import lets you pull sessions directly from Google Calendar instead of logging them manually. You authorize Nawd to read your calendar events (read-only), set keywords on a bundle, and import matching events as sessions.

How it works

When you connect Google Calendar, Nawd fetches events from the last 90 days that match the keywords you’ve set on your bundle. The app uses those keywords to find relevant events — for example, a bundle with the keyword Piano will match any calendar event with “Piano” in the title. The integration is read-only. Nawd never modifies, creates, or deletes events in your Google Calendar.

Set up calendar keywords

Before importing, add keywords to the bundle that represent your session events. Keywords match against event titles in your calendar. For example:
  • Keyword Piano matches events like “Piano Lesson”, “Piano – John”
  • Keyword tutoring matches events like “Math tutoring”, “Tutoring session”
You can add multiple keywords to a single bundle.

Import sessions

1

Add keywords to your bundle

Open the bundle, go to the calendar keywords section, and add one or more keywords that match your session event titles (for example, Piano or tutoring).
2

Connect your calendar

Click Import from Calendar or Connect Calendar on the bundle page.
3

Nawd fetches matching events

The app reads your Google Calendar and retrieves events from the last 90 days whose titles match your keywords.
4

Review matched events

A list of matched events appears. Review the results to confirm they look correct.
5

Select events to import

Check the events you want to add as sessions.
6

Import selected events

Click Import Selected. The chosen events are added to the bundle as sessions.
When you first connect Google Calendar, you need to grant Nawd read access to your calendar. Without this permission, the app cannot fetch your events. The access is read-only — Nawd cannot modify anything in your calendar.

Key details

  • 90-day window — Imports events from the last 90 days only.
  • Duplicate detection — Nawd tracks which events have already been imported. Re-importing the same event is automatically prevented.
  • Read-only — The integration never modifies your Google Calendar.
