# Roles

> Nawd Bundle Buddy has two roles: Bundle Manager (the service provider) and Guest (the client). You can hold both roles at the same time.

Nawd Bundle Buddy uses two roles to separate what you create from what you receive.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Bundle Manager" icon="briefcase">
    You provide the service. You create and manage bundles, log sessions, invite guests, and import from Google Calendar.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Guest" icon="user">
    You are the recipient. You view a shared bundle via an invite link — seeing hours used, completion percentage, and session history.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## What each role can do

| Capability                  | Bundle Manager | Guest |
| --------------------------- | :------------: | :---: |
| Create bundles              |       Yes      |   No  |
| Log and edit sessions | Yes | No |
| Import from Google Calendar | Yes | No |
| Invite guests to a bundle   |       Yes      |   No  |
| View bundle progress        |       Yes      |  Yes  |
| View session history        |       Yes      |  Yes  |
| View completion percentage  |       Yes      |  Yes  |

## Having both roles

You can be a Bundle Manager and a Guest at the same time. This is common if you both provide services to your own clients *and* receive services from someone else — for example, a coach who also takes supervision sessions tracked in another person's bundle.

When you have both roles, you can switch between the manager dashboard and the guest dashboard.

## How the app detects your role

Nawd Bundle Buddy automatically determines which dashboard to show you:

* If you have created any bundles, you see the **manager dashboard** by default.
* If you have active invite links (bundles shared with you), you see the **guest dashboard** by default.
* If you have both, the app defaults to the manager dashboard.

## Setting your default view

If you hold both roles and want to change which dashboard opens first, go to **Settings** and update your default view preference. This does not affect your access — it only controls which dashboard loads when you sign in.
